[ QUOTE ] ...and runs his mouth a lot in a confrontational way. [/ QUOTE ] I haven't noticed Gold being confrontational. He certainly talks a lot, though. [/ QUOTE ] confrontational may be the wrong word. it's just sorta semi-aggressive table captain stuff. things like "i'll show you when you fold." |

honestly, what is the hate on Gold? he HASN'T been acting an ass, just talking way too much than is appropriate for the table. people all off a sudden decided to start hating on him because he went on a sick heater starting late in the tourney, but to his credit, he has rarely gotten his money in badly, and is doing a pretty effective job of inducing calls and bluffs when he has the best of it. he might not be your horse, but he should be commended. [/ QUOTE ] It's easy for anybody to be nice and friendly while they are winning. I think you get a much better look at 'the real' somebody when they lose or take a bad beat. And Gold didn't seem to handle it very well or be very nice about it. |

[ QUOTE ] LOL at the people applauding the suckout. Gold has put his money in as the favorite every time. Guess you guys loved seeing Aaron Kanter again on the dinner break. [/ QUOTE ] It's natural for people to hate someone overachieving. [/ QUOTE ] It's really not hate, or out of line. He's been in big pots vs an allin as a favorite a few times, before that one they've all held up. Sometimes you get unlucky; he hasn't gotten unlucky yet tonight (or much all tournament I'm sure) and I think it's pretty weak to whine when you still have a huge chip lead. For contrast, think about how Cunningham would react to the exact same situation. Don't begrudge him his big chip lead or anything, just think the "can I play any better" is unnecessary. |

HAND 139 - Blinds: 150k/300k, Ante: 50k
AC on the button. Wasicka raises to 1m. Binger announces raise. He's all-in! Back to Wasicka. It's 5.3m more to call. Wasicka folds. |
