Next? Nice - our shorthand is better than the power play as long as we're not 2 men down. How good is Carolina? I kinda felt like they racked up a lot of points in a crappy division much like Detroit. Up 3-1 on Jersey is pretty solid though. I think Buffalo is a slight favorite especially if they get Connolly back. [/ QUOTE ] Carolina is above 50 on Tradesports for the conference. Buffalo is at 40. I'm sure that will shift a bit once the NJ/Car series shakes itself out, but I think GG is right. Nobody, except Sabres fans, can believe this. |

Oh, ok. Hopefully the NJ series will go 7 games.
BTW if you took Triumph's "under" on Ottawa's 5 total losses in the playoffs from the 2nd round on your check is in the mail. |

This team definitely has a different feel to it than '99.
A) They're better B) Dallas was really good and probably better than anyone left this year (even though they cheated). C) They had a relatively easy road to the finals vs. Boston/Toronto. |

Sens fan here. Congrats. I can't bring myself to hate the Sabres...just a good hockey team there. I
was also at game 4 in Buffalo. Flew out from Minneapolis. Had a great time and was treated well by about half the people who felt they had to give me a hard time. Decent folks did it with a smile on their faces. The other half were belligerent and stupid. Luckily, I'm 6'4" and 225, so didn't really feel threatened. There are going to be big changes in Ottawa this summer. If you have any interest in what I think, you can check out this link. http://proxy.espn.go.com/chat/fantasy/co...timePosted=1030 |

As for Emery, he didn't really do much to win them games but outside of Game 1 he didn't lose any either - before the series started I think most "experts" would've said that servicable performances in goal would've been enough to win, and it just wasn't; just not enough offense in 5-on-5 situations. Am I the only one who thinks Redden was more at fault than Alfredson on the last goal? |
