Well the good thing is I thought I was the only one dumb enough to put in this many bets against a hand that is never folding. The bad thing is that the villain is never folding.

This came up in another topic I didn't want to sidetrack:
How do you guys deal with the question "Are you an internet player?" and "Are you a professional?"

The former seems to be asked alot by fellow internet players who are solid and the latter by bad players. I always brush it off to keep the table mood light, but I feel like my responses are always unconvincing to them because I am young and I'm not thoroughly convinced myself when I talk.

3 monkeys in a tree playing roshambo:

2 limpers, button limps, I raise in SB with A[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img]K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], BB 3-bets (he's been "isolating" me all night), 1 caller, 1 folder, button calls, I cap it, all call. 4-way for capped pot.

I check dark.

Flop is Q[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]. Checked around to button who bets, I raise, all fold back to button who 3-bets, I fold.

Button shows QQ. I don't think we're playing poker, I think we're playing random roshambo with check/raise/fold instead of rock/scissors/paper.

Why'd I go with scissors doggammit, I knew I should've gone paper!

Lucky for me this question doesn't come up when the only game you can beat is a 10-20 .

Oh besides the $5 online sit n go's... I'm so pro at them.

World famous NYC 10/20 with half kill. This is not a kill pot

I open AJo in mp, mp cold calls, button is stuck a lot and 3-bets leaving herself 30 dollars left. 3-ways.

Comes T33r, I bet hoping to clear up the pot and get it headsup, mp calls, button raises, i call and mp calls.

Turn 3 I bet mp finally folds, button tosses in her last red chip.

I say "you got a pair you win?" "of course I have a pair" and she turns over 88.

River T and I muck saying nice hand.

UNTIL I look closer and say oh crap. The dealer proceeds to turn my hand over and I congenially muck. Meanwhile Mp starts his mouth "If you had just checked the turn like a sane person we could've chopped this pot 3-ways, I'm not stupid enough to miss something like that."

I'm happy button won the hand, she's my boss.

Mp is her husband ha.

Sounds like the lecturer needs to become the lecturee.

BTW, you should know that this is what happens when you move up. There is like a right of passage where the guy who has been playing at that level and has more comfort there tends to get possession of the luckbox. I remember moving up to 20/40 and playing against mikel. I think it took 3 months before I won a pot against him.

Cue the entity joke saying "that's because you always folded...HAHAHAHA"
