Dude, for real, post an example. You say that hands don't get the discussion they deserve, therefore high stakes players don't post anymore.

SHOW US AN EXAMPLE

It's a totally crap argument until you can produce at least some evidence to support it.

I've already stated why no result to this experiment will prove anything.

No, you stated why posting new hands would not prove anything.

I'm saying you should go back through previous posts that you or someone else made, pull it up, and say, "Look, here's a hand that should have created lots of discussion, but instead it was crap."

That's a totally different "experiment," and is based on your conjecture that high level players don't post because they know the resulting discussion won't be any good. I just want to see a hand or two where that has actually happened.

Perg, I've read your request to ZJ several times. Even as a low limit scumbag, I understand exactly what you meant. I understood it the first time, the second time, and the third time.

Clearly, he understands what you're saying but is choosing to act like he doesn't.

I just wish that 2+2 would stop letting people link their websites when they decide to grace us with a post and that they would also not let people list their website as their location. Please, stop pimping your webistes and your rakeback deals!

I'm sure I'll be all better after ZJ's book comes out.

Maybe he'll even post a hand in it!

***NEW IDEA***

What if there was an option you had to click on when you posted: You had to select one of the following:

a) LC, NC, OT,
b) Say $55 or under
c) Say $55+
d) Say 200+

and THEN we added an option to SORT by these options.

I don't even know if this is possible given the software 2+2 uses, but it would help high-stakes posters go immediately to other high=stakes posts.

I think there should be a way you can tag a post as high limit, and then you should be able to set your preferences to see only those tagged posts in this forum. This would seem like a way to help those high level posters without "destroying" the forum.

Unfortunately I'm not at all sure if this is possible.

These ideas are entirely unnecessary, just split the forum and you can look at both if you want. Takes one click.

Quick note about the level of OT posts recently:

Isn't the recent STTF weekend posts responsible for about 45% of them?
Isn't the recent party change responsible for about 45% of them?

Surely, we can realize that these two events are extra-ordinary circumstances, right?

Note: I would be willing to mod if and when the forum splits. Mainly I guess I'd try to be a judge of whether or not the hand should be in the forum? I have no idea, but just saying Im willing to be a mod.

i was just thinking about this stupid idea of splitting the forum, but what about the idea of color coding (if it hasn't been brought up, i'm not going to read this thread)?

i guess using the color function for UBB in the title doesn't work, but what about using [img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] for 215's+, [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] for 11's+...?

that would make scrolling through for the good stuff way easier. and skipper can use [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] for OT stuff cuz it's the peasant's suit lol.
