[ QUOTE ]
Tevez right now has more value than Torres because he is use to the Premiership. [/ QUOTE ] Possibly, but I don't think so. For one thing, Torres has been playing against stiffer competition in Europe than Tevez faced in South America (yes, I know that the Brazil and Argentina leagues are pretty good, but Torres has been in the Primera since he was 17). [ QUOTE ] I think Torres will struggle next season at least. [/ QUOTE ] I agree that he won't come flying out of the gate with goals. He will need time to adapt to England and, even more importantly I think, Liverpool's style of play (boring longball anti-football, essentially). |

I think that tevez would be excellent for us. His style is perfectly suited for the style taht we play and he is tough to bring down. Pairing him up with Rooney would be a pure delight to watch. Both would be able to create for each other and he would be a great foil for Ronnie too

torres will be excellent for liverpool
obviously they need a few more upgrades to be better than utd/chelsea but considering what they have achieved without a top class striker i wouldn't bet against them. even if torres doesn't succeed at Liverpool they will still be able to re-sell him at a very good price |

there is no way Liverpool can sell him for more then they paid for him unless he succeeds.
Tevez is a beast and I think he will succeed in England no matter who he plays for. |

I dont see why Man U needs Tevez when they have Rooney though.
Very similar players. Surely they should go for a fox in the box type player. |

the rumor I heard was that it was a loan deal. Surely they don't have the money to outright sign him.

I heard the number was more like 700mil, but whats an extra 100mil.
ManU is really walking a tight rope if you ask me. They were very lucky with injuries last year and the house of cards they are building could collapse. |

[/ QUOTE ] I would say that 4 significant signings is building a solid foundation to withstand injuries, not building a house of cards. Instead of having Giggs-Scholes-Carrick-Saha and praying for no injuries, they have an backup/replacement for each of those guys (assuming Tevez is signed). |
