I am kinda pissed off that we traded Bronson Arroyo for willy mo and then go out and pay a bunch for JD Drew. I mean Drew is def good but willy had 11 HR and batted 301 last year with only 86 AB. I think we should have given this guy more of a chance. Maybe spent some more money on pitching as if that was possible.

Now what do we do with him?

Also I think Pedroya (sp) should go to the minors and give Cora a shot full time. Comments?

Ugh. It's like WEEI is in my computer. Cora has a few good games and it's like he's the second coming of Honus Wagner or something. Do you realize he's a .245 career hitter with a .311 OBP?

Pedroia has hit at every level. Give the kid a fair chance for crying out loud. And fair chance isn't a handful of games in cold and rainy April.

also JD Drew is a terrific hitter who posts a very high OBP and a very high OPS while playing terrific defense. RF in Fenway may be the toughest OF position in all of baseball. I am a pretty big WMP fan but I dont want to see him in RF there 81 games a year. Pena will still get his ABs due to injuries with all 3 OFs and also hopefully some as DH if Ortiz can play to rest Youkilis and Lowell.

As far as your Cora ideas... no

I definatley agree that JD Drew is a great hitter and definatley plays better in the field. I just dont know why we would not just pay more to keep damon and give willy a chance instead? Damon >>>> Coco Crisp, JD Drew >= Willy MO

also i would def like to give pedrioa a chance and i guess you have to save money somewhere I just dont like short prospects when you have proven major leage talent on the books. we will see tho I would love for him to excel.

Just for the record I goto school in montreal and dont get the WEEI/Globe hype here so this is really my only place to talk soxs. Werid how I somewhat agree here tho.

I really disagree but i hope you are right. If you look at career numbers I think you might change your mind but god knows I want that to be true.

I've been reading some of the game threads. They are all a bunch of whiny babies. Now I know why people hate Red Sox fans.
