umm if you have a serious gf and you are a huge sketchball it is ridiculously easy to get sensitive information. I leave stuff like bank statements, credit card statements, health cards, etc. around the house all the time. All he had to do was copy them and put them back or whatever. Would seem very easy to do if you were in a serious relationship without someone noticing.

I haven't read this whole thing but from the pages I have read, I just love the 5464672534 people coming out of the woodwork saying stuff like "i knew it was a scam all along but just didn't say anything." if you're telling the truth (which I doubt) you're just as bad as vig imho.

Personal donations to be contributed to a broader donation (i.e. some people in the lol donkaments thread collected donations in their stars account of thousands of dollars; mikey is collecting for tshirts, etc.) will be reviewed on a case by case basis.

Even though I didn't donate to Vig I still feel strongly about him being prosecuted as to protect bbv from future scams.

Prosecuting vig is a huge determent for future scammers and protects people like mikey's right to fight the good fight.

Kind of like the if you ban guns only criminals will have guns. If you ban charities only scammers will reap donations(via pm or otherwise) . I do think it os a good idea to stop personal charities though because donating to 1 person with cancer is stupid when there are millions out there that need help(even if she is a milf with big hoo haws)

yea, Nath is pissing me off right now in this thread because he is such a huge presence in BBV and basically said nothing to me about any of his concerns at any point (correct me if I'm wrong Nath) and didn't make his concerns vocal in the original threads at all. Which is surprising considering how strongly opinionated he is on just about everything.

Mod decisions aren't set in stone and if a lot of people had voiced concern early on (there were a few, like Nick B and Tuff Fish) and shown some evidence of sketchiness like what you guys are showing now (instead of just "I have a bad feeling about this") then things might have been different.

I also had no idea he was slonkydonk and won the party million...to paraphrase Adam Sandler, that information could have been brought to my attention months ago and would have made a big difference

I would've said something on the forums, but didn't wanna get called out for being insensitive the whole cancer/baby thing. I did mention it to some of my friends the instant i saw the donation thread/baby picture for vig (rofl that was icing on cake) The instant the "vote for baby vig" thread came up it should have been blatantly obvious to everyone that this was a scam.

Provided that Mrs Vig wasn't in on the scam;

Vig, you [censored], I hope you sit there in a dark corner somewhere right now, finally realizing what the implications of what you have done is. You will not care one bit about scamming some people from an internet message board, but if you haven't lost ALL grip of reality, the realization that what you have done might very possibly kill another human being, and you are DIRECTLY to blame for this.

If Vig isn't a total psycopath with no sense of empathy/non conscience at all, and Mrs Vig's condition do in fact turn for the bad, this will eat away on him for the rest of his miserable life. That would probably be punishment enough.

And no, make no mistake, I do not wish this upon him, or well I do as an isolated event, but I cannot since it would implicate that I would wish Mrs Vig to fall ill as well.

FWIW, I didn't donate, but not because "I knew it was a scam...."

The way the appeal was pesented and evolved just left a bad taste in my mouth. I came upon the thread(s) a day or so after they started and was put off by the often seemingly flippant attitude of vig and his g/f. I found his g/f's somewhat flirtatious posts very off-putting...and then trotting the baby out was rancid icing on a bad-tasting cake.
Maybe being a chick meant I wasn't seduced by her "rack"...and I just saw the situation in a different light.

I feel for the people who donated out of the goodness of their hearts...and I hope it doesn't discourage them from helping those truly in need in the future.
On the other hand, I AM a cheerful participant in the LOL Donkaments movement.
