played my first "real" 100nl sesh tonight. woo woo. +3.20 givin me a 1.60 per hour win rate. ship it holla. (plus i get rakeback so more ) i played pretty meh to start and got down a buy in or so and then played and ran a lot better the last hour or so. i felt really unsure about ranges at 100nl. n e one got n e advice or links to good threads about ranges and how i should change from my 50nl range thinking to get it to 100nl thinking? much appreciation to n e one in advance for the help

Congrats on the movingupaments. I don't know of any threads on different ranges - from my own experience they're tighter(FT if u play there ~3% lower average vpip) and handreading is easier as people play less junk and not so strangely postflop. There is a PB post by Mercman in SSNL sticky AFAIk.

Anyone go to the same college as eMc or heard any updates i.e. if he's managed to sort out his hacked computer and a/c s?

I haven't seen cnfuzzed in the last few days @ FTP and I've put in 15k or so hands since friday there. I'm sure I have seen you @ NL50 TH and am pretty sure I can narrow it down.

@ kazana, I've been swimming at the beach like beneath somerset, and muizenberg, and near boulder's beach with the penguins, saw a penguin that got eaten by a seal though while I was swimming there.

On a side note, just had to play a bit of poker so I laid down my books and fired up some omaha, that game is just so addicting, and pots are insane I bet I pay more rake playing 1 25nl omaha table then 2 50nl texas tables.

so, the first big downswing happened in november. really sick stuff (mostly me getting my stack in way ahead).

then december came and the beats continued some more (coupled with me rarely getting paid off on sets, etc)

so january arrives and i think that there is no way this can last another month. same sickness different month. yesterday, 5 buy-ins down the drain when i was at least seventy % fave. today, 4 buy ins (6 hands, not all against full stacks). AK all in pf no good against 2 people each holding AQ. AA no good all in against JT pf. KK v. AA. set of 8s all in on flop lose to two outer. all in wth T high flush on flop, QQ turns the fourth club.

how does anyone run at 10ptbb?

[/ QUOTE ]

play smaller pots with marginal hands. sounds like you have been running hot awhile. felting AK PF? WTF? why are you looking for coinflips when you can play it better? if you WANT to play HIGH VARIANCE poker, then you have to accept the swings.
