[ QUOTE ] What Nick is doing is stealing. The only reason I got involved in this thread again (because after originally backing Ken I said NOTHING) is because I was surprised to see what Nick wrote to Ken. Have you ever seen Boiler Room? I don't remember the movie much, but it's really the same sort of deal, and I can't believe such a deal is publicly offered. It's not gambling, it's not betting, it's stealing. Sorry Nick. [/ QUOTE ] he doesn't win 100% of the time most likely [/ QUOTE ] Actually, you're right. Nick claimed he would win 150% of the time. |

bz,
Is it stealing if Roger Federer offers to play me tennis letting me start each set up 5-0? And this is why everyone thinks you are classless on top of lacking any sense of honor and integrity: "that's why you're stuck playing the sngs while we are consistently building our roll." "Nick, enjoy your $33 SNGs. The play at those levels must be tough!!!!!" Pathetic. |

Diablo,
It would be stealing if Roger Federer dressed up as someone really terrible at tennis, made it seem like you had a chance to win, then pulled off his mask and said "surprise! Thanks for your money!" Grow up. |

anyone ranked top 400 in the world would beat me everytime. that is a fact. today i played a few games with some guys ranked around 200. i won the first few games, but once you figure out the strategy, a skilled tennis player will win. that is why i will take the racket side of the bet.

It's not gambling, it's not betting, it's stealing. [/ QUOTE ] "One of these days in your travels, a guy is going to show you a brand-new deck of cards on which the seal is not yet broken. Then this guy is going to offer to bet you that he can make the jack of spades jump out of this brand-new deck of cards and squirt cider in your ear. But, son, do not accept this bet, because as sure as you stand there, you're going to wind up with an ear full of cider." if ken was gullible enough to take nick up on the bet, it's HIS OWN STUPIDITY. instead of recognizing that it was his own stupidity, you and ken talk trash to nick as you back out. do you seriously not see how pathetic you guys look doing that? |

bz- if you can't see what other people are saying right now, do yourself a favor: quit the thread for now. then, in the morning, find someone whose opinion you trust and have them read the whole thread. see what they think. [/ QUOTE ] bz- i know you're more interested in arguing with el diablo, but you should try this. good night, -poincaraux |

[/ QUOTE ] Mikech, you make a good point. Nick , I apologize for making fun of your level in poker. We've all been there, and I'm sure you're making your way up the ladder. Def just a steaming moment on my part. But Mikech, I still do not approve of this "deal" and that is the reason I came back in this thread in the first place. Ken backing down has NOTHING to do with me, but I honestly don't blame him (esp since Nick told Ken over AIM that he would win 150% of the time) |

bz,
You did classless douchebag things which I pointed out. I did not just randomly call you names. You, on the other hand, just started namecalling because you had no actual valid response. And yes, you are correct that I misinterpreted what you wrote. I did not think you would write something quite as retarded as "if you backed out of a bet, you wouldn't pay up." Of course that is correct, bz, if you back out of a bet and say you won't pay me when I win, of course I won't pay up either. |

Honestly, I wouldn't have thought anything much of you and ken backing out after you figured out just how bad the bet was; it was stupid of you to blindly back someone financially who would be willing to overextend themselves due to ego (or whatever), but no biggie. But once you start making the $33 SNG comments and whatnot -- that's where you definitely crossed a line, and started showing your real character. Hopefully it was just steam and not a true sign of what you're like as a person. Rob |

Baronzeus, I accept the apology. I have played 300-600 and even 400-800 at Commerce a few times. I am a gambler, got suspended in 6th grade for betting on ping pong matches at lunch. I have a working job now and realize money has a value, thats why I play $33 SNGS.
