[ QUOTE ] I'm using my admin powers to find out where a couple people live (most notably Tony Paladino) and bringing a baseball bat. [/ QUOTE ] You suck at the internet. [/ QUOTE ] Brilliant, chief. Chop down my post so it looks like a flame and quote me. Teach me how not to suck at the internet, please. |

At the time, I lost electricty, running water, and cell phone and land phone service. It would eventually take more than 4 weeks for all of this to be restored. Since I had no power, no running water, very little food, and no means of contacting the outside world, I attempted to leave the day after the Hurricane and drive up to NY to stay with my family. I only had a quarter of a tank of gas. Most of the roads were out, and there wasn't an open gas station for 100 miles (the power outages were ridiculous). I very very nearly ran out of gas on the side of the highway, just south of DC, when I finally found an open gas station. Since that day I have never let my car get below half a tank of gas. Keeping your car at above half tank level is not necessarily nitty. |

Evan,
Was jason driving? And if so does that mean that Scrub was perhaps concerned that you guys would be involved in a prolonged car chase that might take you slightly off course? |

[/ QUOTE ] No, Jason was in the back seat. Great story from that night... We're on the way back from Vegas to LA, on the 15. Jason's in the backseat complaining about a truck in front of us going too slow (it was). Eventually the car in the left lane clears out and we go to pass the truck. As we're passing it Jason says, "Evan, roll down the window." As I go to hit the switch scrub yells, "Jason, don't hurt the truck!" The truck was an 18 wheeler. Jason was throwing out his gum. |

[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] Clark, you're being unreasonable imo. [/ QUOTE ] He's really not. I've watched this trainwreck unfold. Was Elaine an annoying poster? There's certainly an argument that she was. So she got kicked out of OOT. She wrote a response to getting kicked out of OOT. It was a bit immature IMO. So what? In response, one of the lamest threads I've seen thus far erupts (this incident has caused around three 150-200+ reply threads, and they're all relatively boring). It's full of nasty and harsh commentary directed at Elaine. Now I don't care if my wife is annoying other people, but if I'm Ed, I'm not quitting 2+2. I'm using my admin powers to find out where a couple people live (most notably Tony Paladino) and bringing a baseball bat. WTF is wrong with people here? Mob mentality much? [/ QUOTE ] Clark jumped all over JBB for making his first post in any of those three threads, [/ QUOTE ] Don't worry Evan, you were definitely one of the 5 or 10 I had in mind when I said "it (my post) most definitely goes out to many others". As nolanfan intimated, my post happened to occur to JBB since he was the most recent, but it most assuredly is meant for more than just him, and I said as much in that post. Frankly, I feel a bit sorry for you, because I really thought you were a pretty sharp dude, but you've really made yourself look pretty shabby in the last few days. The amazing thing is you seem to realize it, PMing me the following thoughts yesterday: [ QUOTE ] I honestly do feel bad about being so rough on Ed's wife [/ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] You're probably right though, I should stop at least out of respect for Ed. [/ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] Like I said though, I should stop because it is disrespectful to Ed, who I like a lot. [/ QUOTE ] You were on the right track. Though I don't know how you could possibly write: [ QUOTE ] I don't think "incessant attacks" really describes how I've treated Elaine. [/ QUOTE ] and [ QUOTE ] Why do I care so much? I don't really care [/ QUOTE ] and [ QUOTE ] I honestly do feel bad about being so rough on Ed's wife [/ QUOTE ] with a straight face given your performance here today. I do hope that should you ever see Ed again, you are man enough to apologize to him. |
