Hello, I thought since you have taken such an interest in me, that I would give you some more background and see if I might get more of your opinion.

It all started about 10yrs ago. I was working a nice job in IT. I had a nice little 3 br/2ba brick ranch. I had 2 roomates renting rooms out of the house. A nice little setup for a young guy getting started in his life.

This girl Jill. She would call me about once a month just to catch up and say hi. We had dated once before, a year before, but she didn't find me exciting enough I guess, and had moved in with some guy within a couple weeks. I was heartbroken because I had really gotten attached to her 3yr old daughter.

So a year after we had dated, she calls, and overtly asks me out on a date. I accept. We meet. She was 3mos pregnant at the time with someone else's baby, not the guy she moved in with a yr earlier, but it only added to how sweet she seemed to be. She was a damsel in distress in my eyes, and I was her knight in shining armor. (OMG how could I have been so stupid?)

We dated. She started staying over. My roomates were a little uncomfortable with that and got their own place. She moved in permanently. Six months later she had a beautiful baby girl. I love and loved both girls as if they were my blood for the next 9 yrs. I miss them so very terribly much at the moment.

Anyways, throughout a marriage, Jill was never satisfied. She was always seeking out other men (many other men I would later find out), and other adventures. I quit multiple jobs at her request, usually so we could run off on vacation. I did everything possible to try and keep her happy. We married 4 yrs into the relationship. I tried convincing her to let me adopt the girls, she wouldn't allow it, she knew that that would mean visitation if we ever divorced, and she knew well better than I how likely that was. It was never enough. She started running off to an ex-bf at the end. I stayed true. Even when she cofessed her adultry, I forgave her instantly and begged her to stay. We separated, tried to make it work (or at least I did). She finally fell in love with a truck driver she met. He had lots of children, and an exciting life (in her mind), traveling over the road.

I have not seen or talked to those girls in over 18mos. She married this guy, and he is extremely jealous to the point he wont let the girls call me. Jill has gotten him to quit his jobs numerous times already to move around the country. They recently moved to Florida. No money. No jobs. Living out of a tent.

I heard this from her brother just the other day. As soon as I heard. I offered to send them some money. She accepted. I begged her to let the girls call me when they get into an apartment. She said she would try.

The one main theme through all of this. I never stood up and was the man I should have been. I never denied her any request. Real LOVE is sometimes doing the responsible thing. Sometimes LOVE is tough. I should have stayed at my jobs instead of running off whenever she requested. I should have not accepted her so unacceptable behavior for so long. I should have been the best father and husband possible. Instead I was my wife's "enabler" for her addiction to something more exciting than normal life.


So if you read this far. Hopefully you have a slightly different opinion of me than before. I am still struggling with how much money to send them. I don't want the girls to go hungry, which I why I already sent some money, but I also don't want to make the same mistakes of the past, and just send money that ends up funding her exploits.
