Wow I'm so impressed with Utah. I've been waiting for years and years to see this great team get a chance at a championship in the post Jordan era. Go Jazz!!!
from your life long #1 fan Boris.

Heh, somehow Amare made the all-NBA first team. Link. I didn't think his season was THAT good, but maybe it has more to do with the lack of competition for that spot.

Also, kinda LOL that all the first-teamers came from the WC.

[/ QUOTE ]

biggest joke amare made 1st team over lebron. no boozer makes me sad.

[/ QUOTE ]

James would've made 1st team is Duncan is listed as C instead of PF. There are too many good F's in the league and only two positions for it. All Amare had to do is beat Yao and Howard. Boozer might've made 3rd team if he was listed as C.

He understands that GS did not lose the game because of the refs. If they make their FT's they would have won, but they didn't, so now they are in a tough spot.

[/ QUOTE ]

i dont get why people have such a massive misunderstanding of sports. if the ref's blow a few calls and the warriors miss out on like 6 or so free throws and we go to OT, youre honestly still going to blame it on the fact that we went 1-4 on free throws?(which i admit is abysmal). im not really arguing that we should or shouldnt have gotten more calls, but to say "who cares how the refs did? the warriors missed 3 free throws at the end and didnt deserve to win." if we were up 8 and missed the three free throws would we have deserved to win more or less?

[/ QUOTE ]

I don't get how you can be so myopic. GS got more than a fair shake from the ref's on the road. The fouls on DW in the first minute were pretty ticky-tack, several calls against Boozer could have gone the other way, the call on Kirelenko was bad. Yes, they could have called a foul on Fisher at the end, but from the quote above you can tell that even BD does not expect to get that call. It goes both ways. GS shot 4 more FT's than the Jazz, even though they are primarily a perimeter team and Utah plays inside much more. I'm not saying "who cares how the refs did?", I'm saying that as far as GS is concerned, the refs were very good.

And yes, if you were up by 8 when you missed the FT's you would deserve to win more, because you would have done more to be up by that margin. If you are going to suck at the FT line doing it in close games is going to be more costly.

You can't play the "We had to vote for Amare because Duncan is a PF" card while at the same time giving both Duncan and Dirk spots. Which one of Duncan and Dirk play the 3, again? Neither of them at all? Huh.

GSW fans are hereby prohibited to complain about Tim Duncan's whining about officiating. You lot are the Tim Duncan of NBA fans.

Blaming that game on the refs really is ridiculous.

I agree, since i clearly didnt do that...

difference: when tim duncan complains the nba listens. when we complain about much worse calls we are ridiculed. prime example, tim duncan gets legit technical foul, sits on the bench, laughs, gets thrown out of game. consequence? ref is banned for the rest of the season. fast forward to the playoffs. Stephen Jackson is clapping in the direction of his bench(the opposite direction of the referee), the ref calls 2 technicals and ejects Jackson immediately. no one cares at all because hey, its the warriors, and we didnt expect them to get this far. Again, i am not complaining about the officiating last game, but if youre going to compare our whining to tim duncan's please keep in mind that when we;re whining its usually because we were the victim of 5 bad calls in a row, whereas with duncan, he is usually complaining that he ONLY got 5 calls in a row and not the 6th.

Pretty obvious that Davis is simply taking the high-road and making a specific effort to not call-out the refs on that.

he's smart enough to not get on their bad side

His comment "I thought he was trying to foul me" implies that he thought he was indeed fouled.

I'm a Bruinboy and I don't think Davis is smart enough to "imply" he was fouled. Perhaps it's just what you want to hear from him.

Do you think TD gets on the refs' bad side by complaining a lot?

So you still think that GS lost because of the refs? You have not cited any other calls, or explained why GS shot more FT's, when the referee's are so obviously conspiring against them. You think it is a conspiricy by the NBA to capture the massive Utah market at the expense of the inconsequential Bay area market?
