I did this tonight, after being bored waiting 20 minutes for a seat at the 20.

40 was cake.

I open KJ in the CO, BB calls. Flop AQ9, BB open-turbo-mucks and says "easy money."

Later I open A9 from the CO and a LAG in the BB calls. Flop 234. He donks, I call. Turn K. He bets, I raise, he calls. River J. He checks, I bet, he folds. Ship the monies.

Thats how i decide if im going to take shots at the 40... which ever game has an open seat.

Somehow managed to re-procure my dollars with a little interest playing in a couple juicy 10 and 15 lhe games. Astonishingly the formula of get playable hands + actually win pots = $$$. It's a shame that I'm able to execute this powerful technique so rarely these days so I am only able to win about 1k for every 10 I lose..

I made myself feel a little better by counting my hours played live since summer started after finally "officially" logging my hours from the Commerce trips and all the Ocean's trips since then (I am too lazy to put it into the computer after every trip so I have note cards that I scribble my results on when I get home from a session). Apparently I have played a bit over 250 hours and am a little over 21k winner. I am about 4-5k loser online I believe over not very many hands in this period as well, don't really care to open 3 different kinds of PT just to find out, especially since I know I lost some in 2-7. I suppose it's a brag that I'm winning more than I thought I was, but a slight beat that I haven't played as many hours as I thought.

I played for five hours last night. 40% of my winning hands I made quads.

If it is anything more than 2 of 5, that would be amazing.

I remember a session over a year ago, I had been on a losing streak, and couldn't buy a pot. I then hit quads twice within 10 minutes, and joked with a friend that I could only win pots with quads.

I also did something for the first time that day, I bet my quads on the river, no one called, and I quietly slid my cards face down to the dealer. That is the day I point to as when I knew I could be good at poker.
