A line please: White socks with a suit

bad or good? For years, I used to wear white socks with dark suits and black shoes. The Blues Brothers did it, they were cool, so I figured I was cool. My partner hates it. With a passion. Every chance she'd get she'd let me know. We'd be out, and she'd point out my white socks to anyone who'd listen and roll her eyes and shrug and look apologetic.

I've finally I crumbled. I stopped wearing white socks with suits.

But give me a line people, are white socks with dark suits okay or not?

[/ QUOTE ]

I agree with your partner, white socks with suits look awful. Look around for a man wearing white socks with a suit, how well is he coordinating his attire? I'll wager he's making mistakes in more than one area.

Please disregard these reccomendations, these are awful.

lol. I've got pretty bad taste. I think the last one is retarded looking. But #1,2,4 and 5 aren't that bad, are they? (#3 looks sort of off... feminine or something.)

I'm partial to Jcrews favorite shirt line...both the long sleeve and the polo's.

i bought 3 of every color they have in the washed polo's. Can wear them to work, on the beach, out just about anywhere depending on what type of pants/shoes u go with etc

You'll probably like Uniqlo, it's the Japanese equivalent of Gap.

For these maternity shirts, I guess I don't really have to come in here and be yet another man piling on the hate for them. This is well-established at this point. However, looking through the ones that the men have deemed the most passable from the variety, I think it basically boils down to how the shirts deal with boobs. The last three that Katy posted all let a little shape show in the girls' boobs, and then then cling to the body just underneath before heading down to loose frumpiness below. These ones are much, much better than that horrible monstrosity in the first pic in this thread.

THE HEDGE FUND

Kenneth Cole is not fashion forward and his statements are silly.

Example that comes to mind, "Mideast peace is a must have for the fall."

Handling the boobs better is nice, and I'm surprised Katie didn't mention that as a "you guys" kind of thing previously, though she did imply it somewhat.

I don't think that's the whole of it, though. It's also the horrible blah colors of a lot of them, and also the complete shapelessness of them. I don't really think showing more boob would make the truly ugly ones less ugly. They might just make you say, "nice boobs in a fugly blouse." Everyone likes boobs, but a fugly blouse is still fugly.

Put at least a little color in some of those fuglies so you step away from the corpse pallete, and they would be much prettier, boobage or not.

Manque,

There's similar amount of patterns in both ties & prints but with the subdued colours of the second pic, the overall apperance is pleasing.

Wookie,

Nice shoes, I've been eyeing these for months and have finally decided I'd prefer having more driving shoes than casual shoes.
