I don't see a problem with taking shots at 10 nl, but buying in 1/2 isn't really gonna solve the problem.
Are you sure you can't deposit? Epassporte, directly deposit /w debit cards (I've heard they've been working well lately) |

U played ok.. what u have to realize about the hand where the guy shoved with 444 on board.. they will play about any suited trash.. even to a raise. So you can't ever really rule out a hand. I hate it when my hand reading skills are worthless though. 10nl is pretty similar to 25nl.. the 5nl or 2 or whatever it is you're playing is more like play money.

[ QUOTE ] this run of cards put me on tilt. I don't think anything else needs to be said. Edit: I'm normally a 23/15 so i'm not just some ubernit, I just got dealt an offsuit deuce in every hand [/ QUOTE ] Yea, sometimes I get crap stats like 8/4 simply because there's nothing to play, or semi-playable hands that are ok from the button but get dealt UTG and it becomes a spew. ;( [/ QUOTE ] You realize you can now raise with any 2 cards and everyone will put you on aces. |

This hand was bizarre. Everyone goes crazy preflop, and I decide to play the jacks mainly for set value, hoping to stack most of the table should I hit. Then the hand just fizzles out completely, and we stagger to a showdown that is frankly embarrassing for all involved.

so here is my 20 min vid. enjoy my tilty pissedoffedness at the beginning. http://indystars.org/public/poker/tehDiceman_april3.avi [/ QUOTE ] at 8:20 , we hold [J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]9[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]] and are first to act, board [6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]]. The pot is 17BB. In your video you say that the 9[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] turn didn't really change your situation ... I disagree, it gives you 5 more outs: 2 to trips, and 3 to two-pair. Remember that bottom pair can be a drawing hand, this is especially relevant here since idiots love to minbet, which gives you great odds to suck out on them by spiking your kicker or trips. On the turn here , I would sometimes lead out as a semi-bluff, definitely call his half PSB. You should be able to get enough out of him on the river if you hit (more so if you bet into the draw). People were avoiding you a lot in this video, in general I would advise semi-bluffing/chasing draws a little more often just for image as much as anything else. Just because they are playing at $5NL doesn't mean they are stupid, they will learn to get out of your way if you only bet/raise with a made hand. Some preflop advice... try to adapt to the table and players more. For instance, at this level and using PT, often you know you will be able to get away with limping. Certain people just never raise preflop, for example. I think it's important to take an easy limp when it's offered and you have a good drawing hand. Particularly important is to watch out for shortstacks pre-flop. Generally if I have a hand such as JTs but there is a shortstack to act behind me, I will not raise, because it only makes my implied odds worse if he calls, and loses me money when he shoves his A3o. Several times you got into sticky situations with drawing hands and shortstacks because you were playing in a raised pot and they were liable to push at any time. If there is a shortstack behind you, just think through the possible outcomes if you raise with your hand. |
