i refuse to play on the first day of any month. its very rigged

[/ QUOTE ]

My new rule. of course I read this after digging myself a nice hole to climb out of to start april.

Some new rules:

1. Get more sleep. I play like crap tired and tend to play over half my sessions when tired.

2. Play more hands. Either play more hands in my sessions or increase # of tables.

3. Stop sucking. I need to learn how to lay a hand down after 3 betting pf.

4. Take a hard look at moving back to Stars. Does anyone have a link to one of those rb vs fpp threads?

5. Do what tufat says above.

Just got off the phone with a sales rep from the company I bought my volcano. They're shipping it today so it will probably arrive by thursday or something.

I'm pretty pumped, as I'm about to take my last test for a while today, and when the volcano comes, I can finally relax in style.

Hmm, had a breakeven day in poker.

Ok day in life however.

I have one more blog-like question and I'll stop asking blog-like non-poker related questions for a while.

How do you end a conversation with asking for a number?

I find if you ask too soon before any apparent attraction then you'll get rejected a very high # of the time. If you ask too late it's just as bad.

I was with my friend looking for haircut place on a map, I asked these two cute girls where to go. They didn't know so one of them got two other friends who were also cute.
We talked for like 7 minutes then I thanked them and parted.

Afterward my friend was like "dude, you totally should've gotten their numbers"

I was like "Wtf, how was I supposed to know?"

Thus I pose my question to you mighty ssnl.

And for best answer I'll xfer 5$ on FTP

I should have known to quit after this hand early in the session:

Full Tilt Poker
No Limit Hold'em Cash Game
$0.50/$1 Blinds
5 Players
Lego Poker Hand Converter

Stack Sizes
SB: $101.20
Hero (BB): $105.85
UTG: $41.30
CO: $55.20
Hero (big blind): $0

Preflop: 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] ($1.50, 4 Players)
UTG calls $1, CO folds, SB calls $0.50, Hero checks

Flop: J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 8[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] ($3, 3 Players)
SB checks, Hero bets $3, UTG calls $3, SB folds

Turn: 7[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] ($9, 2 Players)
Hero bets $7, UTG calls $7

River: 3[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] ($23, 2 Players)
Hero checks, UTG bets $15.30, Hero calls $15.30

UTG had 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (three of a kind, Threes) and won (+$25.30)
Hero had 2[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] and lost (-$26.30)

Pot Size: $53.60 ($2 Rake)

It all went down hill from there.
