Why would I? If my read is right, when I bet the turn, he folds. That's great when I have ace high, awful when I have TPTK. I've been told by the forum that I'm not supposed to make bets that will only accomplish folding out people with 2 or 3 outs.

Once I suck out, my goal is to find a way for him to put more money in. I felt checking to induce a bluff and subsequently representing a busted flush draw was my only hope. Perhaps a weak lead on the turn, hoping to induce a bluff raise would accomplish this goal better with some opponents, but this one wasn't particularly aggressive.

oh jesus man stop thinking like this you're gonna screw yourself up real bad. that hand i posted against mizrachi is nothing like this one. dont apply moves you see people pulling in 10/20 to a midstakes game when you dont understand fully what i'm thinking, what my opponent is thinking, and the whole dynamic of the game in general.

you cant just take a move out of context and expect it to work in any situation

just pot the river and fold to a raise. done.

Yeah, Stars is soft. But whatever you do, make sure you never get it in with the nuts on the turn. Especially not in 600bb pots where you've played your opponent like a fiddle.
