[ QUOTE ]
You say it because you don't know the person you're talking to, and take that as license to be less civil than usual. This is what I have a problem with.

[/ QUOTE ]
You're right, but I'm sorry you have a problem with it. i don't feel the internet and real life have the same proprieties.

[ QUOTE ]
Very little of your participation in this thread or many others I have read is in the same ballpark as 'good-hearted fun,' or any other boys-will-be-boys kind of vein. You say this but the actual content of your posts is much more hostile. It's a cop-out, and one of the oldest in the book.

[/ QUOTE ]
You're right. This is not good-hearted fun. This is a debate. However, I also heaven't gone out of my way to be hostile in this thread. If you're unable to tell the difference between a reasonable debate, good-hearted fun and hostility, then that's on you.

[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ]
I guess we should all have the balls to do things like punch girls in bars and other idiotic behavior to prove we're not cowards and are willing to be real life douchebags.

[/ QUOTE ]
Actually I don't see how hitting a girl (it wasn't in a bar) makes me any less cowardly, considering she was half my size. But it's good to know you're reading.

[/ QUOTE ]
That was exactly my point. Check your sarcasm meter.

[ QUOTE ]
As in real life, most of the time I am civil, if a bit dry, and try not to be snide when I can just be direct. However I am not one to hold back an unpleasant opinion, such as the one I have for you.

[/ QUOTE ]

I try not to be snide either. But if there's no reason to offer an unpleasant opinion in real life, I generally don't. If there's good reason, then I do. A correct assumption would be that I don't use that filter as often on an Internet forum because as I said, I don't feel they have the same proprieties. If you want to think it's a cop out, that's fine. I think we're pretty clear where we each stand on this.

i still dont get how calling some flame that someone made at his group because they were mad at someone else in his group "childish" is unfair. i get that he probably should just shut up about it. but so should she, the quote in question was beyond childish, and was an insult targeted specifically at a group that included jbb, i dont see how what he said could even make anyone consider taking his modship away.

When someone trusts you to be the public face of their company, you have an obligation to act like a grownup. That obligation doesn't go away when someone says something that hurts your feelings.

Jesus man, do you really believe the stuff you're writing? Act like a grown up? He called something she wrote childish, he didn't tie her down and piss in her mouth for it. I am shocked that you are so serious about this.

Also, in case you didn't know, mods aren't even paid. They do this for free and other people were asked first but turned it down.

[/ QUOTE ]

You're not surprised when I stop for gas with 1/2 a tank but you're shocked about this? Has our whole relationship been a lie? I feel like I don't even know you!

Pretty much. You're as childish and irritating as you please, then when you get called on it you start typing up long excuses and pretend like others are just being too PC or 'taking the internet too seriously.' Bottom line, it is a matter of taste, and I think the attitude you bring to posting sucks. It has nothing to do with being uncomfortable with debate or hostility - while you might be trying to 'debate' right now, it's a far cry from your usual participation in these forums.

My guess is that JBB just happened to be the last mod to post before Clark's post, but that Clark's post was certainly directed at many more mods than just JBB.

In case you didn't know, trip reporters aren't even paid. We do this for free.

You're totally right, though. I'll write it now.
