This is the first you've mentioned that she was talking about you possibly being in a relationship with her. I tend to think this is more propaganda to keep you around. Actions speak louder than words.

Most people haven't said that she is a lying or conniving bitch and most of the ones who did do not necessarily mean that she is doing it intentionally. She's a typical 20 year old girl that wants to experience things, have fun and she loves attention.

Sex isn't the end all be all. It wont solve your problems with her and it wont make you feel better about the situation. I don't think I have seen you post weather or not your are a virgin. I can empathize with the anxiety you would have having intercourse with an experienced girl when you had none. I understand how you'd want to be very comfortable with the person and the situation. (However, sex is not a big deal. the sooner you realize it isn't some pure and mystical experience, the better off you are going to be)

The advice in this thread is great. I cant say that I wish I had this advice when I was 17, because, honestly, I wouldn't have listened to it, either. I can just sit here today and say, "Yup, you were right."

I think the reason you have gotten so much attention in this thread is that everyone has had a similar situation and can identify with you. We feel your pain. The pain you have now and the pain you are going to have when you, finally, realize it's never going to happen.

You need to just cut all ties with this girl immediately. You say you are best friends, SIKE. You are too into this girl to be her best friend. Remaining friends with her is going to be unhealthy for you.

100% correct. Tell her the reasons you are doing this (with the emphasis on "you are being a teasing bitch" and not "i love you too much..."). When she tries to get back with you, which she will, rebuff her shortly and coldly. After at least a week, then you can entertain seeing her again, but only if it is explicitly clear before hand that you are going to have sex.

No matter how tough it is short term this is what you need to do.
