they can donate to whoever they want whenever they want. they shouldn't feel pressured to donate to this charity at this time just cause bbv says so. i did toss $50 since i do think its fun/nice that as communitiy we are giving something, but i can see arguments either way.

also, i know personally i donate very little now (compared to what i could afford) cause i want to get a little more comfortable about my long term financial situation before i start giving away a bunch of money.
