Trying to improve in reraised pots. Villain was unknown as I just sat down prior to the hand, I guess I'm assuming donk until otherwise noted. How's this line?

Full Tilt Poker
$0.10/$0.25 No Limit Hold'em Ring Game
6 Players
LegoPoker Hand Converter

<font color="black">Stack Sizes</font>
UTG: $38.70
MP: $48.75
CO: $40.30
Hero (BTN): $25
SB: $24.65
BB: $25.1

<font color="black">Preflop:</font> J J[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] ($0.35, 6 players)
UTG folds, MP folds, CO folds, <font color="red">Hero raises to $1</font>, <font color="red">SB raises to $3.55</font>, BB folds, Hero calls $2.55

<font color="blue">Just calling here to see how villain reacts. I have position and don't mind seeing flops with these guys.</font>

<font color="black">Flop:</font> 8 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 2 ($7.35, 2 players)
<font color="red">SB bets $5</font>, Hero calls $5

<font color="blue">Bet is pretty small, no point in raising here as it folds out all hands I beat.</font>

<font color="black">Turn:</font> 8 3[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 2 [Q] ($17.35, 2 players)
<font color="red">SB bets $9</font>, <font color="red">Hero raises all in to $16.45</font>

<font color="blue">Not the greatest turn card but villain seems to be leaving himself room to fold.. I'm arr-in!</font>

Spewtastic?

[/ QUOTE ]

I fold this turn very fast, the fact that he re-raised preflop and lead two streets for big bet sizes means that

a) he has you beat (i.e. this is not AKs)
b) he is not folding.

Bear in mind that at this level you have to be aware that just because a bet is small in relation to the pot doesnt mean that its weak. $7 is still a lot of money at NL25 no matter what the pot size.

Cliffnotes: SPEW

Oh and edit: against an unknown??? AAAAHHHHH

[/ QUOTE ]

He turbo-mucked with $7 left.

And I'm not sure if you guys would know him, I found him on CardRunners.

brag: I've got free internet in my hotel room in Paris, and my February just got kicked off running at 11 PTBB/100
beat: Incredible sample size of 250 hands
variance: In 4 days I'll be returning, and will most likely have no internet for another week or two.

Oh, and variance 2: This just means that I'll be able to make some more progress on my PT analysis series.

This is why I play nl holdem:

Full Tilt Poker
$0.10/$0.25 No Limit Hold'em Ring Game
5 Players
LegoPoker Hand Converter

<font color="black">Stack Sizes</font>
BB: $32.2
MP: $19.20
CO: $25.40
Hero (BTN): $62.45
SB: $23.65

<font color="black">Preflop:</font> 4 2 ($0.35, 5 players)
MP folds, CO folds, <font color="red">Hero raises to $0.85</font>, SB folds, <font color="red">BB raises to $2.65</font>, <font color="red">Hero raises to $7</font>, BB calls $4.35

<font color="black">Flop:</font> A 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] ($14.1, 2 players)
<font color="red">BB bets $7</font>, <font color="red">Hero raises to $14</font>, BB folds
Uncalled bet of $7 returned to Hero

<font color="black">Turn:</font> A 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] [] ($28.1, 1 players)
No action

<font color="black">River:</font> A 8[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] [] ($28.1, 1 players)
No action

took 150 BB from this guy before this hand and after that he was 3 betting me a lot pf. In this hand I decided to 4 bet lightly for respect. I knew he had a hard time calling my 4bet so I wasn't putting him on something like AK, JJ, QQ, KK and obviously not AA and KK. Thought he was trying to take the pot for cheap, so I minraised the flop.
I think I could have played this better (I don't think I should have reraised 7 pf. Probably should have just bet pot.
