We would need to define "2+2er".

Over 1 (+200) seems like a bad bet. I would have asked for over 0.5 (+200), which would be vastly superior.

What percentage of the field do you think is going to be 2+2ers? Have you even established criteria for what constitutes a 2+2er?

[/ QUOTE ]

I was under the impression by the wording that if 1 2p2er makes it to the final table, Truepoker CEO wins. Since Azzizi has the "under of 1" true poker has >= 1.

or maybe I suck at reading comprehension?

Default Okay, Truepoker will handle Player2Player WSOP prop bets

Ziz and I have a bet. It's for $100.

Bob,

There will be 10 players to classify once the final table is known. For a $100 wager, we can likely reach a consensus between ziz and myself as to whether 0, 1 or 2 players fit the criteria. If I lose, I'll pay.

My point about betting was that the wager is bi-lateral, whether or not a third party would have taken some other proposition is irrelevant ..... unless that action is offered.

If the poster who thinks .5 is a better number for an over-under wager wants to offer it up for a wager, then he should go ahead. (If there is a real interest in prop bets on the WSOP, we will be glad to act as a clearinghouse and book Player2player action. The parties can get as specific as they want in defining their terms, post the money with us, and we will pay the winners.)

I'll set up a special email, [email protected], to handle the action. Unless there is a special arrangement, we will limit prop bets to a $100 payout, (meaning for example, that a 5:1 prop will be limited to a $20/$100 range.) It should be up by tomorrow.

David

I usually interpret over/under bets such that anything hitting the number is a push. Otherwise, you can and should just define it fractionally. Like if TruePoker CEO wins with 1, then the line should be written as 0.5 to avoid confusion.

Given my standard interpretation, I don't think there's much debate that Over 0.5 would be better than Over 1. It's not like it's just my opinion.

Anyway, I haven't done any thought on the prop itself and almost certainly won't be betting. I do like prop bets; I just happen to like them for smaller amounts of money than most of you all.

Ugh, lame grammar callout, but the meaning of your sentence is wrong because of an English error.

Thanks for pointing that out! Surfinillini assumed that I was over estimating the skill of the average MTT poster. However, my original statement was intended to prove my observation that many posters on the site tend to over estimate there skill.

By the way this was not intended to be a shot at the forum as a whole. I enjoy, respect, and even find myself amazed (in a good way) at some of the content posted on the forums.
