I'm def calling and seeing what happens on the flop. First we have decent odds for set value. 2ndly, maybe he doesn't have AA/KK and something like JJ and an A or K comes on flop and scares him and you get a cheap showdown. I really don't like folding it though.

Hahaha, me saying i cant fold was sorta a joke, mainly I didnt want to waste the t1000. ~Justin [/ QUOTE ] It's not a waste, it is possible for a queen to come on the flop! |

with that level of confidence that you are against AA/KK, if you play for set value, are you then folding when the flop comes AKQ?

I just don't see how you can fold. First of all, if you do hit your set and he has AA/KK as you are so sure of then you will certainly get the correct payoff for making your set. Second, if it is so obvious to 'good players' that this mini-raise means AA/KK then other 'good players' will make this mini-raise with hands other than AA/KK since it would be so easy to make their opponents fold.
I will say that I ocassionally make plays like this simply to make it look like I have an AA/KK type hand and it often works -- however, I don't assume people are throwing away QQ when I do it <G>. |
