When did Kido Pham go from the amateur donkey (BTW, we learned what a donkey and a luckbox is during the WPT Poker Corner) who worked in the dentist's office to respected tournament professional? I guess I missed that. Great call with KQo. I guess Kido thinks he's Tuan Le.

And I agree, the new chick is horrible.

[/ QUOTE ]
I believe he was getting 2-to-1 on his money, so it wasn't a bad call considering he was only a 3-to-2 underdog. Though I would have preferred he smoothcalled there or waiting for a real monster to come over the top of Gavin who seemed to be steaming after Kido bluffed him with Ace high.

Default Wow! How does Ted make that call?

Great play by Kido with the top pair on the flush turn.

How does Ted make that call? Would Kido have played the big flush any differently on the turn than the check-raise all-in?

Really, someone tell me how Ted picked that off. He made the comment about "about time I have to get lucky" but wow!

I came in on the middle of the hand. What were the stacks when Ted made the 300K bet on the turn after Kido checked?

I'm still trying to decide if Ted is brillant or stubbornly stupid here....

I honestly think Ted felt he had Kido beat and put Chris Bell on a mid-pair which he would lay down to a bet. Even if he didn't have Pham beat, he still had the flush draw to fall back on. From Forrest's perspective, the worse case scenario is that the chips go back to Kido, a loose impatient player itching to bluff off his stack, rather than Bell, who strikes me as a tight player who won't spew the chips back as easily. (EDIT: Bell seems to have woken up 3-handed).

Also, Forrest plays the biggest games in the world and is probably not nearly as concerned about moving one spot up the pay schedule as most of us would be in a tournament of that size.

He may have proved your point again, with his read on Bell's river trips.

Do you think Bell try to sell a weak hand by imitating the walkaround from earlier?

The laydown by Forrest against that rivered three of a kind is one of the best plays I've seen in forever.

And since when did Ted Forrest become such a damn pimp? I always knew he was a great player, but his new look is tough.

I miss Shana Hiatt. The stories about her replacement being awful are true.

[/ QUOTE ]

I agree- her interview skills seem worse, and she seems stiff (stage fright? First game jitters?)

I know this is her 2nd or 3rd show, but I'm not impressed so far. I don't remember thinking Shana was this bad when she started, but that was a long time ago.

I particularly enjoyed the celebration after hitting a three-outer. Very classy.
