I'll take the over. You guys are giving far too much credit to professors. Most will give a C as long as it is written in coherent english. I'm assuming this is a college paper, if not, it'll get an even higher grade. I'd say, as long as its well written, it gets at least a B. (Consider originality, which matters the most to professors these days. And most of them won't see any flaw in the arguments, they aren't gamblers.)

I'm with Taso. Grade inflation being what it is, and with every Tom, Dick and Mary going to college now, and with universities STILL insisting anything below a 2.0 is grounds for an exit from higher studies... It's an easy C if he just turns in a paper that looks like he tried and meets the letter of whatever the assignment was.

Based on a review of OP's post history, I'm not sure this is a reasonable assumption.
