Make sure it's not dress shirt cut at the bottom, and if it is, find a new shirt to wear or wear some black slacks and tuck it. Nothing looks worse than a shirt that's meant to be tucked in but it's not.

Leave the top two unbuttoned and do not tuck it in.

christ wear a white t-shirt underneath.......there is nothing wrong with this.

also, wear flip flops or some other type of casual shoe. i'm from texas though so it isn't cold here.

I am really surprised that so many people are suggesting a black undershirt. I really white for the contrast.
