Foxwoods 1/2 NL game

I am not sure if they can go rake or not, but we did get a 1/2 NL game going pre boom. They made us pay time, which we felt was kind of a rape at the time. Not many people were playing at the time anyways, so it died out.

yeah but the times you win 4 pots in an hour you prob payed less in time then you would have payed if they raked the pot.. so I think its kind of a wash.
I play a tight style as well and I know what your saying about having to adjust to the looseness of these games. When I say nitty I mean more the personality of the players that constantly complain about paying time.
I just think 1/2 at foxwoods as so soft I dont get the constant complaining about paying time. and for me I dont get driving another 15 min to mohegan just to play in a game that is raked but I think alot of these complainers will go which will prob be good for the games at foxwoods after the inital "new room" factor dies down.

Key to crushing 1-2 at FW: Don't be a tight nit. Don't woory about the time charge. Enjoy yourself. Have a few too many drinks. Play a smart lag style and stack or outplay the nits with funny hands. Just make sure you can afford to lose 2-3 full buy ins a session.

It punishes everyone, only the "nits" are aware of it. time charge punishers tight players. But I'm more concerned about other things such as taking breaks. If I want to go get a sandwhich or have a smoke during the NL games. I am losing money because I paid for the half hour. In the raked games, you lose nothing at all for taking a break.
