[ QUOTE ]
The aggression factor is skewed so low because I stink preflop. On the flop/turn/river I'm pretty decently aggressive, I think it's saying, but correct me if I'm way off. [/ QUOTE ] i think 2 is around the cutoff for being passive>agressive you need to tighten up preflop, and be more agressive post if you want to be a decent player |

Your AF stats are skewed because you have the "include preflop number in total AF" checked. Unselect this option to get your AF if you want to compare it to other people/recommended stats etc., because those stats always assume PF stats are not included in the AF. Once you do this, your AF is not so horrible, but is probably a little under 2.

I decided to look for stats that don't say you're a fish. Let's see what I got... .... ....... Non-fishy luckyjimm statistics Ordered by non-fishiness 1) Total hands: 1,837 -end- Well, good luck sir! [/ QUOTE ] Ha ha. GL Jimm |

So here's the second page with that box unticked - and yes, my AF is 1.81: ![]() I guess the AF is really influenced by the fact I am calling other people's preflop raises a lot and then check-folding the flop. |

Nope, check/folding doesn't count. It's (bet+raise)/call. Anyway, you're just a typical loose-passive fish except a little extra on the loose and not quite so much on the passive. Honestly, just play another 2,000 hands or so, but this time don't call raises with AJ86ss from the SB.

I don't know if this will affect my AF, but one thing I do quite often is check the river to induce a bluff from an aggressive opponent when I have a hand which is good enough to call a bluff but not good enough to bet out. A recent example would be when I backdoored a ten-high flush with two others in the pot. I don't want to bet it out, but after I had checked and the other player checked, the last player bet $25 into the $40 pot and I insta-called. He had a busted straight draw. I check-raise quite a bit too, but of course it depends on the player because often you're better off just betting it out. |

I hate to point out the obvious but if luckyjimm just gets rid of his worst 20% hands and plays the other ones just the same, his aggression factor will go way up as it is a percentage calculation not an absolute one.

[/ QUOTE ] i don't think it will go "way up," although you're right that it should go up a little as he folds more pre-flop, since the mix of hands he flops should be stronger and he'll have fewer marginal calling situations. |
