It's been so long I don't remember how mig plays but, there's not a lot you beat on the river. 88? AQ? That's about it, no?

What was your plan if he bet the flop? Call and evaluate?

[/ QUOTE ]
Gavin,
Yea plan was to c/c flop and then reeval on turn.

Re: stack sizes
I had 7k he had 3200 or so

[/ QUOTE ]

Yeah, I like this line once he checks the flop.

I like your line. The only problem is mig runs so hot he's probably got 77.

don't think it terms of a single action (eg c-betting). think about how the hand plays if you take different actions, and decide what is the best approach

Mig is very very aggressive and probably knows you have TT by how you've played the hand so he is capable of making this play without TT alot to win the pot. Also, his line looks like a good way to play AK for pot control although I often bet flop, check behind turn and valuetown river. You probably have to call just because mig is too aggressive sometimes though. If he has a 9 I am pretty sure he bets the flop, right? I just think mig has air or AK here every time.

randal i think if he is good, you are constricting his value betting range way too much and also leaving out some hands that he clearly can have that aren't thin value bets at all. he's gotta have at least kq/qq some non-zero % as well as 8T, 66, 77. i definitely agree he can have AK though. i guess you just have to try and figure out what he's got based on timing bet sizing and general read.
