Where the hell does a movie cost $7.50? [/ QUOTE ] Sorry, but I don't get it. That seems like a normal price to me, and if you're a student you can get it cheaper. I don't think I've ever paid more than $8.00 for a movie. If you really think that you can't see any first run film for under $7.50 then you're really out of touch with everything east of CA. |

[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] The second the lights went dark and the movie began I told my friend next to me that this movie is gonna suck, I proceeded to say it about 6 more times during the course of the movie. [/ QUOTE ] So you're one of those people... All people hate you, just so you're aware. [/ QUOTE ] [/ QUOTE ] [/ QUOTE ] Seriously, I find this EXTREMLY annoying. When I go to an event, of any kin d, I don't enjoy having that one person with me that tries his hardest to ruin the mood. It's bad to do it in the begining of a movie, even worse to do it during the movie. Is NY still east of CA? It's $10 a ticket here, and that's not even in the city. |

Speaking of rottentomatoes.com, this movie was given a 75% rating of freshness. Since it got a pretty high rating and was based on a Steven King short story, I decided to check it out. It was worse than I had hoped, given the rating, but it wasn't as bad as you're making it out to be. The obvious "fake ending" which you somehow fell for wasn't a trifle plot twist but an actual plot point. It's purpose was to show the viewer that the room was willing to play dirty. You'll never know if you're safe from it. I got the feeling the actual ending was trying to produce this feeling of uncertainty (kind of like Chase with the Sopranos). Unfortuntely, it came all came up a little short in this movie. Furthermore, the original fake ending had an aura much like a false awakening, a theme that's been explored by several Steven King stories. Anyways, while the movie was definitely lackluster, and IMO not worth the semi-high rating on rottentomatoes, I didn't think it was all that bad and surely better than most of the crappy movies that make up the horror genre. [/ QUOTE ] I agree with this review fully. The movie was decent but could have been better. |

LFS,
Its not like I see a ton of movies, but even primetime weekend movies in Nashville cost only $9.00 through Fandango.com, and that's including their fee. I don't see how Butt [censored], Iowa, or Jackson, Mississippi, or any of the rest of the country would be more than that. That goes double if you buy at the theater and skip fandango's charge. instead of buying online. EDIT: By "everything east of CA" I obviously meant to exclude places like NY and Boston, so just take it to mean, "The vast majority of the US." EDIT 2: One day computers will be able to recognize naughty words. |

Wow, 'Buttfuck, Iowa' has no censor problems whatsoever. Nice find, RDH!
