[ QUOTE ]
Eh, it's not like we get that many $100s posts. Think of it as AAA for the big boys. [/ QUOTE ] Not that I am saying that I agree with ZeeJustin, but his point is that with a high stakes SnG forum the high stakes players will post more. I honestly don't care about the results of this poll. I want to see Gramps, Rojosox, Daliman, Gigabet, raptor, Unarmed, citanul, strassa2, etc. (if he still plays SnGs which I am not sure about) etc. etc. etc. say they will post more hands. We already have two people saying they will post (ZJ and Jman), but two people does not a forum make. curtains did not make the above list because he already posts a lot |

Why split the forum? If all the "good/serious" discussion is going in the $100+ forum, who's going to read the low stakes forum?
Everyone here who isn't already at that level is trying to get there, so we'd all just read and post to that forum. |

And is any of this at all relevant to the proposed board split? No. [/ QUOTE ] Think about it, it sorta is when considereing where the cutoff is. Alright the $60's is pushing it |

I'm against this for one reason. All the best players will only read the High forum, and we will never get their input on our hands. It's not like I expect ZJ or Giga to respond to any of my HH's now either, but if I happen to post a hand that isn't clear cut at least now there is a chance some of the better players at this forum will notice it.
Also the thought of this being the forum with all the clutter/OT and the other forum being the one for serious pokerdiscussion might ruin this one. People won't bother with the smallstakes anymore. |

I think splitting the forum is not a great idea. [/ QUOTE ] Well that throws a damper on things. I think my biggest reason for being all for it is that it's human nature to like new stuff, and get into all into it for a while. So we would probably be guaranteed some pretty good strategy discussion, at least for a while until everyone got bored with it and went back to the same patterns as before. |

I still don't understand what downsides this could have. Worst case scenario is that the forum is not all that active, but no one is suggesting taking down the stud forum just because it's not very active. Plenty of meaningful discussion goes on there.

Why in the heck are you bringing this up now?
Let's wait a month for everything to settle down. Then maybe we can have this discussion with actual data about hands posted and give the new structure time to sink in with everyone. There's a ton of noise right now because of everything going on (STTF, party structure change.) In the meantime, how about the high-stakes players try posting a few hands and see how it goes? |

As I said in the other thread, I totally support the split. I haven't completely stopped posting, but I have posted much less than I used to, and I promise to post more in the new forum.

Alright the $60's is pushing it [/ QUOTE ] Right trying to push for the PS $60s to be included and not the PP $55s is a surefire recipe to just piss people off and get nothing done.
