I'm 1/5th a Minbet Millionaire

Brag: I've made 200K USD from poker. Beat: Took me well over 2 years. Variance: I'm still not very good at poker.

All of it from limit cash games. No higher than 10/20. Most of it full-ring. A lot of multi-tabling obviously.

This mark had been a bit of a serious goal for me. And now I am there. My best 4 hour session ever of 2K took me home.

I'm thinking of writing a BBV post (complete with graphz yo) about the journey. If I'm still over the mark when I've written it, I might post it.

well, you set a goal and reached it. congratulations. anytime you accomplish a longterm objective it is a reason for celebration. two years, 200K for a small/medium stakes limit hold em player is pretty strong, IMO.

what's the next goal? 500K in 4 years?

[/ QUOTE ]

You know, they could fold these hands if they have to, but showing is probably worse than actually folding them.

[/ QUOTE ]

Folding QQ really isn't that bad, folding the KQ is beyond stupid and lol @ "I think you just got there"

She didn't show QQ but I totally believe her, if she was lying at worst it was TT or JJ.

I don't know if this is accurate, but I actually think that the number of atrocities of this sort is decreasing. I think the reporting of these atrocities is increasing, so we have the perception that there are more.

3 no end to war

[/ QUOTE ]

Actually, there are fewer wars occuring today, than there were twenty years ago. It is just that we (the US) are more involved than we were at any time since vietnam. I think that the world as a whole is going in the right direction now.

[ QUOTE ]
2 terrorism

[/ QUOTE ]

I agree that this is a much bigger concern than it was twenty years ago.

[ QUOTE ]

This really scares me more than the others, because it potentially has devastating effects for everyone, it potentially effects more people and more of the world than war or terrorism probably will. But it certainly is worth discussing which is a more pressing problem.

I can't remeber where I read it, but I remember reading someone saying that the things that effect you most, are the problems that are important, and not urgent. I think that Global Warming is bigger on that scale than the others, which are more urgent, but might not be as important longterm.

gosh, what's with bashing a dude because of his responses to a silly question? i mean, i didn't say anything to you about misspelling "atrocities" or "perpetuated".

and by the way, if the world melts its going to suck pretty bad.

i have to agree. and yet, in the face of adversity and despair, we must remain optimistic.
