[/ QUOTE ] There is definitely a cutoff point from where Metallica is good and a person is able to tolerate them and where they are just flat out garbage. They have not put out a good cd in YEARS (the stuff with the orchestra is really the only thing past the Black Album that this does not apply to.) The same thing goes for Megadeth. Awesome live, but haven't produced a quality cd in ages.

Nobody here has mentioned Strapping Young Lad or Devin Townsend.
People. Go forth and listen. SYL is just the heaviest possible music you can get before crossing over into death metal. Devin Townsend is the front man for SYL but also has a ton of albums out under his name. He also used to sing for Steve Vai back in the day. Anyway, his newest album is called Ziltoid the Omniscient and I have been listening to it every single day since I got it. Devin Townsend Interview
