[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] well to be fair they were 7 seconds from being down 3-2. But ya, they haven't been playing super hockey yet. [/ QUOTE ] If they had lost game 5, they were losing that series in 6. [/ QUOTE ] Because you can see the future ? lol. Yes every team that gets up 3-2 always wins. Ask the rockets about that one. [/ QUOTE ] More like common sense. Before yesterday's game, the Rangers were 9-0 in their last nine games at MSG. Add to that winning three straight, with their goaltender single handedly stealing one in Buffalo to give them the series lead in a pivotal game 5. Yeah, I'm thinking they would have won in 6. [/ QUOTE ] haha you contridict yourself in your own post. Up till yesterday they didn't lose there. DUDE THEY JUST LOST THERE. "I can say with absolute certainty that a team who just lost at home wouldn't lose at home." ahhahaha. you are amazing. You are a clairvoyant savant. 1) get a bowmans account 2) deposit 1000$ 3) profit |

[ QUOTE ]
Miller does exactly enough to keep his team in the game and keep them winning. That's really all that matters. Emery is going to need to play better than he ever has as he's going to be facing the leagues best offense. [/ QUOTE ] If the Sabres' offense is better than Ottawa's, it's a very marginal edge. And Ottawa makes up for that with their better defensive game, including a shutdown pairing of defence that Buffalo can't match. Emery doesn't need to play better than he ever has -- if he plays as well as he played against NJ, the Sens win. If he plays the best hockey of his career, it's going to be Ottawa in a sweep. |

I actually think experience is one of the bigger factors in this matchup. But all is for naught, as the ducks win the final in 6 vs either team. Ducks are for real this year.

[/ QUOTE ] Coaches do something called "reviewing game tapes". I know. I know. It's crazy. They actually watch the other teams and then formulate a plan of attack. If you don't think they haven't been watching & preparing for the Sens since before they knew they were going to be facing them for sure you're confused. This defensive pairing you're talking about has already been ironed out. It's in the bag. I feel sorry for the Sens coaches because they have to deal with trying to figure out how to shut down 4 complete and offensively potent lines plus work out penalty kills. I think Ottawa is potentially going to be spread too thin and they're most likely going to be spending more time in the box than Buffalo. Look guys, I want to see a Canadian team win the cup again just as much as you do, it's just not going to happen this year. Even if they do fluke out and beat Buffalo they're going to have to play either the Ducks or the Wings and you and I both know they aren't going to fare well against either one. If Spezza hoists the cup, I will gladly eat my words. I will personally appologise to all of 2+2's Ottawa fans. I just don't see them winning this series or a final in my oppinion. ********* Wings Vs Sharks @ 9:00PM EST. It's going to be a good one. I think everybody knows who I'm rooting for so I guess I don't need to say, but, [censored] it! Let's go Wings! |

That screws my whole line of thinking. Mods, please delete all posts I've ever made. Wait, any chance Ottawa coaches might review the game tape too? I mean, in between "how to sound tough when you talk with a lisp" lessons? Because that might even things up a bit. |

I may not know much, but I know two things that you've apparently forgotten: - The Senators will always get the benefit of the doubt from the refs. Always. Seriously, they might as well wear little halos over their helmets the way they're treated out there. - Eventually, the Sabres will get screwed hard by the refs in some way. This is probably the series it will happen in. |
