Ok misunderstood you. I doubt any better hands fold though given villain description.

Ok misunderstood you. I doubt any better hands fold though given villain description. [/ QUOTE ] Yeah, I'm not sure how a turn bet is considered a bluff. I bet the turn to get calls from 8s, single hearts, and one pair hands we beat, and to hopefully get a free river showdown. I guess a turn bet resembles a bluff insofar as it cannot withstand any heat... |

[ QUOTE ]
I bet the turn here as well, apart from anything as protection against 5's, 8's, T's and hearts on the river. Particularly if villain is awful and chases a lot. Get some value out of him/protect your hand on the turn and check the river if he calls. It's also much easier for him to bet out with nothing on the river into a small pot where you've shown weakness than it is for him to bluff raise your second barrel on a scary turn. [/ QUOTE ] very good advice |

Sometimes I bet the turn here to get value and it makes it easier to play the hand on the river. I figure if he calls turn/bets river or reraises turn its easy to let go and if he has tp then we can get more value. On the flipside I can see playing the way op did but then Im sitting there like should I call the river bet?
