Road trips are only fun if you're stopping at cities along the way, seeing the sights, etc.
Just driving straight through is in NO way fun. I particularly remember a trip back from San Diego to Chicago non-stop, and it was pure hell. Just fly, it's totally worth the extra $150 or whatever.

That, or it would be funny to you, and only you, for a year or so. And then the video wouldn't be as funny as the inside jokes you and the others could snicker about while drunk. Those jokes would last another year or two. Then it wouldn't be a source of entertainment at all. I say drive.
