[ QUOTE ]
Bill gates just adopted something that can say 2 words.... its a parrot and it says all in for every hand. In a no limit money game the parrot wins all your money you sat down with before you can take all of his bankroll.... over a course of time the parrot rules over all!!!! Parrot doesnt need skill to beat you... he knows his worst odds are 80 20 on a starting hand.... No matter how skilled you are, it takes one unbelieveable run of luck to beat the parrots bankroll before you lose yours.... If the bankroll of one opposing player is insurmountable that makes him far superior to someone with more skill at the game!!!! The mind has thought and now spoken!!! [/ QUOTE ] how bout one just plays for the short-term...id take my chances here as long as i could get up at any point |

I think you are trying to describe a casino... except as many said, poker doesn't work that way and you will have positive equity as long as you don't buy-in your entire bankroll...

Someone once asked what game would you send your gf to play
HU vs Schnieds in Limit or HU vs Antonius in NL Easily NL. Just use the arr in strategy. She'll probably win like 15% of the time. Woohoo your girl beat antonius. BEAT: she probably also got preggo'd. But no way she can beat schnieds even 1% of the time at regular BB levels of Limit. |

No one is missing your point because you have no valid point. You are not talking about a game of poker. You are talking about a bunch of people gambling. A poker professional does not sit in a game of poker where there is no edge due to stack sizes being low against -ev competiton. They will sit in games where they have an edge on the competition. Only reason a person would play in games you are describing is if they felt like gambling. But again there is a difference that you are missing in this game of gambling you are describing and a poker game.

My point is luck is involved.... a great big part of it and who is more lucky wins more often..... But i keep forgetting of the greatness you all have that dont ever lose have always been winners.... Fantasy land at its finest, I really say way to go holyfield for your creation of such a place.... do your imaginary friends play poker with you in your games you set up.... Be fair now and let them win too big guy... its only fair. The mind has thought and now spoken!!!!

Do you not have reading comprehension skills at all? This is not difficult. No one is saying that luck isnt involved. The point of the matter is that no one is more lucky than another person. A more skilled person wins more often. You can try and rationalize your losing of money in poker all you want on here but the facts are you are not just unlucky comapred to someone else. You lose in the long run due to poor play. People are not in fantasy land here. You can not accept reality is the reason you must come up with outlandish comments of no one here is a pro or makes a living playing poker.
If this is too long or hard for you to comprehend here is a short version. **Stop whining about your loses because you are not unlucky. Luck is a shortterm aspect of poker and plays smaller role than you realize.** |
