but it's only capped betting on the flop, plus it's only 4 bet cap in LA. your hand is unremarkable howard. the hand jade posted is painful to read, although it's the river that's the most painful, the rest is just awful player drawing almost dead. there are worse plays to be sure, ill be on the lookout.

the other night playing 3 handed limit locally it was the turn and i had QT and the board was J98x and the other guy wanted to get his last 8 bets in so i obliged. he had J9.

At Viejas 8/16 one time NLSoldier had AT on AA3AQ board and guy with 99 went 10 bets and all-in on the river with him.

that is far far worse. amazing.

2 months ago I had quad 10's against Aces full. On the river we went 10 bets. I had a hard time keeping a straight face at about 7. If I ever get the chance to go to 35 I think I'll have a hard time not laughing by about 20 or so.

ps. ok, I give up on my Hustler hand even though the spectacle of 7 players getting carried away was pretty amazing.

This is not the worst hand, but reminded me of a hand one night at Borgata 10/20:

I am BB – look down at K [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] K [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img], EP two limpers, MP raises, button (drunk player who won about 2g’s on blackjack, decided to give poker a shot) 3 bets, I four bet, two limpers fold, MP folds, button calls. He has been aggressive in any position, raised every time on the button, any two cards.

Flop A [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 2 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 3 [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img], I bet, he 2 bets, I 3 bet, he just calls.
Turn J [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] – I bet, he 2bets, I 3bet, he 4 bets, I just call.

At this point I stare at the board, and realize I don’t have the nuts, the str8 flush is possible, and with the range of hands he has played, I could be beat.

River 10 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]– We went 7 bets when one of the players told him he could push it all in, since we were HU. He grabbed his stack with both hands and asked me, are you going to call? I said you will find out once your chips are in. I though to myself, if he does push, can I call? He turns to his friend and says, there is only one card to beat me and I don’t think he has it.. (Remember - he was pretty wasted) I had to think a minute to figure out if he was just talking smack to try and get me to call if he did push it. His friend said to him, its obvious what he has, if you don’t have, what I don’t think you have, just call. I asked the dealer to tell his friend to stop coaching. He showed his friend his cards, looked at me and just called. He had Q [img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 2 [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]

I think I would have had to fold if he did push, but I am glad I wasn’t put in that position, I could have lost a nice pot to the second best hand.

CDC told me a hand:

HU on the river at a 100/200 game at Bay 101.

Final board is AAAJx. They go 35 bets on the river until one guy is felted. 35 bets. And they don't do it all at once, it's raise-raise-raise-raise, etc.

That's bad enough, because you know there's only 1 more A left in the deck. So it's either misdeal/setup time or one of the guys really really sucks at pokerz.

And indeed, one player had the quads, the other guy showed KJ for "nut boat!" Evidently the KJ guy was surprised to see he was up against quads. His justification: "Well he bluffs a lot."

[/ QUOTE ]

the best part about this story is the raise-raise-raise part because at about the 12th bet, the guy with quads asked "you raise?" and the KJ guy says "yes" and raises. and then the quads guy will reraise and ask "you raise?" and the KJ guy will say "yes". rinse and repeat until felt.

it was mind boggling to say the least.

Seems like the quads guy was pretty savvy there.

I would have been worried the deck was fouled and the guy had the fifth ace. One time in draw they accidentally left two jokers in the deck. A guy and I go a a few bets after the draw and finally I call. Guy lays down A-A-A-Q-3. I show A-A-A-Q-4 and say, "Kicker."
