What keeps the Feds from simply monitoring the poker sites and slamming the new money transfer options as they arise?

In otherwords is wirecard going to be an option for a month, then shut down as well?

[/ QUOTE ]

Unfortunately nothing keeps them from doing this; I guarantee that there are moles and snoops on this very message board. The one good thing is that so far, the process of shutting down such a service seems to take a bit of time (see the Neteller investigation). Whether or not this will remain the case after the UIGEA takes effect is yet to be seen.

So far everything has been voluntary. The feds have not forced anyone to do anything through legal or regulatory means, as far as I know.

I don't see anywhere on the site how your supposed to withdrawl from Wirecard. Are we supposed to just leave all our money on the card?

I have no experience as a customer with wirecard, but as developer.

Its been a few years, but around 2001 the company I was working for back then was looking for a clearing-company to handle CC-payments on their webshops, and my job was to implement the whole thing technically.
After around half a year we dumped wirecard because their backend was just horrible unstable. Nearly every day we had payments which were not processed cleanly, although there was no cause (technical or financial) why they shouldn't work.

Since then I haven't had anything to do with wirecard (perhaps they got better...), but judging from my past experiences i definately wouldn't use them for any transactions.

Could you elaborate on what exactly makes them look solid to you?

i had dinner with one of the top ft execs a few days ago. he told me they were going to announce by the end of the week a new funding source very similar to neteller. i didn't ask questions about the fees, however, it was clear that he thought it was not very different from neteller.

Any update?

Important Information for U.S. Account Holders
Please note that due to U.S. legislative restrictions U.S. account holders are not able to transfer funds to or from any online gambling sites.
All U.S. account holders are able to use their Wirecard account and virtual MasterCard to safely transfer funds to and from any non-gambling Internet merchants accepting MasterCard payments or holding a Wirecard account.
If the U.S. is your country of residence or nationality or your computer is located in the U.S. you are considered a U.S. account holder and you will not be able to transfer funds to or from any online gambling sites.
