Default Re: I want to play the Hansen style

He plays lots of hands, while Brunson draws his line to K2s (that may be the same to him as 75s for example) but Gus plays stuff even like Jxs, and gets good value from his better hands like the AA. Gus is good because he doesn't play his cards but your cards, finds out where you are e.g. with a flop lead bet and if the turn comes right he bets you out, as an example. He's that good that he doesn't need all that good cards on average; one doesn't need anything but to win the pot, no hand is needed for that, though he too generally wants something, like any sort of semi, but not necessarily. It's also hard to get him out as he just figures he has a good enough chance to win and calls you down, though all the way he looks how the cards come and if he can steal the pot. Just like with Brunson, not often one has hands that can take the heat, espcially when one doesn't figure to be strong. There are many other brunsonian mixture styles than just the Brunson's and Gus's, most all of them being the winning style in the hands even those who do not play very well but has such a style, either by accident or by planning.
