The LucLongley that received the money is a regular and has been playing in all the big games this week. I would think some of the pros and other high stake guys would want to know what he was a part of this [censored]. Or is this a reason why they say they cant do anything because this guy has thousands in action everyday? Maybe he had no idea but maybe he knows the guys, theres gotta be more to it.

That's a really good idea. I hope the sites look into some sort of increased security for player transfers. [/ QUOTE ] One idea would be to send players list of codes or code-generator (like tokens in some internet banks) which should be used when transfer/cashout/deposit is done. I doubt they will do it because they will not be willing to cause additional troubles when moving money because it may discourage some players. I once asked Neteller to increase their security level and they replied that they wont and wont plan to do it because its already secure enough or some bs like that. I think it would be great idea to leave everything as it is as default but offer option of increasing security measures if player request it. |

punter, i think its a decent idea but most of the time it would be shared over im the codes. which could obviously be compromised as well.
dont really see how sites could enforce it besides having players call in from their designated phone number with the sites. highstakes players should prolly do that with each other already. god who even knows its just such a sick situation. |

I had a funny exchange with Fulltilt this past week, I mistakenly sent a transfer to the wrong account as a typo, I immediately emailed fulltilt tech support less than a minute later and asked them to reverse the transfer.
I also stated they should add another layer of protection besides the players username since typos can and do occur. Something like having to type the players first name. Here is fulltilts response; Thank you for writing to Full Tilt Poker Support. While I understand that you have made a mistake in entering the recipient for your player transfer, please be aware that the responsibility is on the sender to ensure that all necessary information is entered correctly. That being said, we will contact the player on your behalf and request that they transfer the funds back to you. Please understand that if said player chooses not to comply to our request, they cannot be forced to return the funds and Full Tilt Poker cannot be held liable nor are we able to replace those funds. We thank you for your understanding and hope that the player chooses to comply with your request. Regards, Loreen Full Tilt Poker Support I found this to be quite comical |

yeah but these guys are looking for really fast money. can u imagine the time constraints on that? alot of people do these transfers because its easier/ faster than payment processors. i know that some places dont allow real big deposits from neteller or it takes extra long to cashout 50k, whatever the stipulations of some sites. people should just shy away from these p2p transfers unless its a well known friend i guess. whatever there really is not any way to protect against the situation that happened with stinger and skip. unless they knew each well enough before and could confirm it via phone.

[/ QUOTE ] but what about the 99% of the players on the site that will NEVER transfer money this way? just let me check a little box that disables the function completely. if i want to enable it again, i call Full Tilt/Poker Starts/Party Poker and take care of it. i'm not saying there is a perfectly legitimate reason to have this function available to players, but for those that don't need it it just invites potential trouble. |

Ther should be option "increase security level of my account" and then additional things get going. Everybody will be happy then. |
