But then there's always 'Unchained'(Fair Warning) that just explodes.

Not to mention Kickstart My Heart by the Crue. The stuff where just hearing the opening notes makes the fur go up on your arms.

There's an Alan Parson's Project song that I used to think was the best intro ever.

I can't remember the name of the song (it's not the one the Chicago Bulls used to use, although that's a great intro too).

Another that comes to mind is "Dance on a Volcano" by Genesis.

That was one of their more commercial numbers (although decent as well).

No, the one I'm thinking of is probably not as well known. It starts out very soft with just a syntheziser (keyboards), then drums enter to add kind of an off beat, then organ for melody all the while building in crescendo (sp?). In fact, I think it's an all instrumental tune. I don't think there are any lyrics to this song. It's also one of the older songs I believe. I wish I could remember the friggin name!! Thanks anyway.
