Fine line, instacall river once you take it.

Very difficult river call IMO. I don't think it's even close to an instacall as most reponses suggest. I probably would lean towards folding actually.

What are a tight Villain's probable holdings here? He calls an UTG raise from the SB. Most of the times this is a PP, but it could be AK/AQ or big suited connectors. I don't think he has a much wider range than that.

On the flop he counts on Hero to bet it for him so he can call or go for a c/r. When Hero checks behind he's still not afraid of that A and bets pot into Hero. He gets called and bets pot again on the river. That shows strength to me. I have a very hard time seeing him doing this with a flush draw or a PP that didn't make a set.

No. I think that's an excellent flop to CB with a PP, missed KQ or whatever.

I would check with:
KK/QQ, sometimes a flush draw, rarely with air.

Looks like 77 22, or possibly even 88 to me. If he's as tight as suggested his range can't be all that wide. I'd possibly fold, but given this line it's tough.

He's shown strength on every street (except for the flop when he was possibly going for check-raise).

I'd bet the flop pretty much everytime here, for value. I often check behind with A-T or A-x suited (where x is a weak kicker) here, but with second kicker I want value from AJ, ATs, etc...

As played, river is a tough call, but you've shown weakness so he might be trying to move you off your "QQ" with a busted draw. Villain never has A-x here. It's two pair or better, or air.

I'd call because I hate folding, obv.

KK/QQ, really? However, if we assume that Hero plays the same and only checks behind with at least TP and sometimes KK/QQ or a flush draw, do you really think a tight Villain would bet turn and river this hard without a hand that beats TP?

It looks 100% like either a pure bluff, or a pretty nutty hand (at least two pair). If it's a bluff it's a very strong one.

Flop check is okay, although I would usually bet.

As played, instacall.

EDIT: What site this is on is also a little important. If the site has a Bet Pot button, then INSTAINSTAcall

[/ QUOTE ]

Well said.
