...e6, go for the transpose.

Curtains, I used to see you and sis at the Adam's Mark at least once a year for many years. Continued good luck and all that. Oh, and I played levels below you even then.

I voted ...e5.

If ...e6 what could that transpose to? (I don't even think I own an MCO anymore )

This will be fun and my first game in a few years.

And oh yeah... 1..resignes is a good one too.

Hey, what kind of bs opening move is c4? Why don't you just move one of the rook pawns ahead one?

I think it was first played by Howard Staunton, which is pretty good. You know those chess pieces are called Staunton for a reason. Botvinnik played it quite a bit.

Bobby Fisched played 1. e4 99% of the games he played. I imagine Boris Spassky was quite surprised to see it in 1972 in Iceland.

I am way better at chess history than I am at actual chess.

In regards to whites first move, 1.c4 will/could turn into an opening where white had played 1.d4

Thats what all the 1...e6 talk was about.

Had white played one of his rook pawns first, black would still have its hands full.

Speaking of the rook, can we get white to drop one of his rooks? Just kidding. This game should be fun.
