i had around 2/3 pot, so i thought it was a fine time to bet. given that board, i thought the likelihood of a check behind was too great for me to get tricky.

fwiw, i think prahlad played great poker from what i saw.
on this particular hand (77s v Gold), i think he should've taken a stab at that turn. i mean, i know he didn't want to get bet off the best hand, but if he was going to fold to a river bet, then i think he should've stabbed at the turn. if gold called and check the river, then we get to a showdown cheaply. i basically think he saved himself a 250k turn bet by playing that a little weak/tight. but he could've won a nice pot (maybe). and doug, fwiw, i liked that K6o hand. you probably could've bet 1/2 your stack on the turn and pushed any river. i know its higher variance but its > cEV. he might have called that bet. it depends on what you put him on obv. anyway, i probably would've pushed too... nh. |

Surprised noone has commented on the two perfect flops Prahlad got for his sevens and nines and managed to lose both hands. Granted he made a nice laydown when techno hits his straight, but weren't either one of these hands a better spot to reraise/make a stand than the A3?? [/ QUOTE ] surprised wha??!? |
