maybe keep the same chip structure and make the blind levels 20 minutes? [/ QUOTE ] Yeah I played in some non holdem tournaments last night and they took twice as long. This new format does not fit those games very well except maybe PLO8. Stud and limit Omaha should go to the old format IMO. |

My god, who would want to play a tourney for fricking 12 hours? Go outside. Maybe for very high buyin tourneys with large prize pools I could understand, but not for $109 and lower I would think. [/ QUOTE ] You win a trip to a big tourney. You want to practice deep stack play. You don't have a ton of money. It's not hard to put together. |

[ QUOTE ] what tourneys are these? are they brand new? [/ QUOTE ] as far as i know it is to test the new structure for the WCOOP, but i really hope this becomes the new standard for their tournaments, it makes them a lot more WSOP-like and gives the first level much more importance, in my opinion. [/ QUOTE ]FYI many of the preliminary WSOP events have a horrible structure. |

You don't have enough for the buyin; you can afford it; you'd like to play; the satellite alone would be fun. It's not like we're talking about someone struggling to feed their kids. |
