[ QUOTE ]
When I turn 18/get a fake ID, I can hit up an indian casino in NH that charges $10/hr for every table, regardless of rake. I'd probably be playing 1/2 or 2/4, but it's the same charge. Is this worth it?

[/ QUOTE ]

If each seat has to pay $10/hr, it'll be damn hard to beat those limits. I guess it's probably hard to beat the rake in those games anyway.

Well, rake sucks as a small stakes player, but the people who play there are all old grandmas, just there to gamble. They see poker in the same light as slots. If we saw the flop for 30h/hr, and the average pot was $10 for 1/2 and $20 for 2/4 (a very conservative estimate, callingstations + problem gamblers = $$$), I would need to make 5bb/hr or 2.5bb/hr just to break even. It seems like 2/4 would almost be worth it, considering the quality (or lack thereof) of the players. If I had the bankroll for $3/6, $10/hr would be better than rake, I think.

in montreal the card clubs take 10% up to 10 bucks. Kinda sucks in a 1-2 blinds nl game.
