20/15 - LASIK ftw.

Before I was -6.25 and -5.75 with contacts. I didn't know what that translated to in 20/??? format, but based on the other posts I've read in this thread, I would have been off the charts also.

My vision was so bad that if I did not know in advance that the top letter was an "E" I would not be able to identify it.

Which sucks, because I believe you get an additional tax deduction for being legally "blind," which I missed out on for like 4 years.

Never occured to me that I could be "blind" while still able to see.

-6/-8 & a bit of astigmatism but it's all good, my doctor invented the soft contact lens.

Right is -1.75. Left is perfect. So I only wear one contact lens, which is a lot cheaper!

Perfect vision here.

But I guess it's only a matter of time until my vision will start to degrade slowly (spending basically 8-10 hrs a day in front of comp screen).
