I don't like the turn call unless you're sure that you get paid off huge on the river if the club hits.

[/ QUOTE ]

Really? You're getting pretty close to direct odds to call it, and it's probably pretty rare that you won't get paid at least marginally more when you do hit.

[/ QUOTE ]

Not closing the action on the turn, being OOP on the river, and tournament considerations would make me less willing to get involved. I don't hate curtains play though, just wanted to add to the thread that calling on the turn isn't a lock.

The only thing I'd like to add is that this is really only a good play against a huge callbox. It comes out later in the thread that it looks like that's what this guy is, but when I first read the OP I thought check call on the river was good. Not a lot of hands a decent player will call you with on the river that you beat and it's not totally nuts for you to be beat.

Yea but ok how can the guy possibly have 2 pair after min betting/calling the turn? Also anyone who is min betting nonstop like this probably sucks.

I really didn't pay enough attention to the OP.

You are correct. Not that my point is wrong, but pretty much irrelevant to this particular hand.
