I know England is the favo(u)rite, but let's not forget that Equador is the greatest nation on earth. Equador takes it 2-1.

We can confirm which englishmen have no life if they post during the course of the game. Posting during course of game = Not watching it in the Pub. [/ QUOTE ] Puts up hand, I am watching on my PC can in hand as am working away from home. Although if I was at home I would be in my living room watching it on my plasma with the kids. I did know I had no life before this thread. |

[/ QUOTE ] We're talking about the same England team that looked very ordinary in the first round, right? And the same Ecuador that slaughtered a pretty decent Poland squad? This line seems more based on reputation than what the two teams have actually done on the pitch in the last two weeks. |

[ QUOTE ] ecuador 2 - england 1 [/ QUOTE ] In my head I see 2-1 (but the other way around), but my heart yearns for 5-1. [/ QUOTE ] 5-1 is saved for germany (or the argies if that chance presents itself) |

This line seems more based on reputation than what the two teams have actually done on the pitch in the last two weeks. [/ QUOTE ] the problem is that to pull upsets in football you need two things: talented/fast/creative offensive players solid defence Ecuador doesn't have any of those things and world class teams are generally solid defensively even when they're playing poorly. |

[/ QUOTE ] All I know is that through 3 games each, Ecuador is clearly the better team. Maybe England will live up to their potential, but the expectation on this forum that they should win about 2-0 is questionable at best IMO. |
